Equipping the Saints!
by David MillaEphesians 6:11-17 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark-world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
That is proper gear to wear and yet our job is to love the lost. And by loving them to win them to Christ. To love them into the kingdom. So while we are fighting against mighty powers in this dark-world, and against evil spirits, we are loving our family members, co-workers, neighbors and everyone else at the same time. We want to give you a hand in the love department, so we have some gear that should help your performance.
Our emphasis is not about church growth. But we are talking about souls here, not numbers, and any true Christian should have a concern about what can be done to add souls to the body of Christ! You may have lost family members, co-workers, neighbors. Christ wants you to share the good news about what He did for all of us.
I’m excited about the women’s meeting last Sunday after the church service. The elders just wanted to get all the church ladies together for a few minutes to let those Godly women start a dialog. Only God knows where it could lead.
Your testimony combined with these tools should give you all the confidence you need to share the word of the Gospel wherever you find yourself. You can always be ready to be an encouragement to others regardless of their circumstances. You can be the light in others darkness, a powerful force for God.

Children's Sunday School in the Parlor Bobbi Milla
Miss Willie, Mr. Mitch and I are so pleased to be part of the children’s Sunday School class that meets in the parlor every week. The Children are becoming more and more part of our FCC Church family. Their Singing and comradery with many in our Church Family has continued to grow.
This year we have been reading “One Wintry Night” by Ruth Bell Graham. The story is about a young boy, Zeb, and how he became lost during a snow storm. It has been a wonderful story that included many Bible stories. The children have enjoyed coloring and learning more about the Patriarchs in the Old Testament and about Jesus through the stories in this book.
Mr. John and Miss Willie Gore have been bringing many library books for the children to take home, read and share with their friends. We have many readers in our class. Lataysha, Destiny, Vantasia, Jaylan, Inazianna, Elijah and Dacari are some of our older children who love to read and are very creative with our crafting time.
Our younger children Destiny (the younger), Joseph W, Julius, Jeremy J, Jada, Nicholas, Destiny W, Jeremy & Javari, Timothy, Daniel, Tamia are shy about reading but love listening to the stories and really enjoy our crafting time. We have been making cards for those that are ill and they enjoy creating spinners. The next best activity the children enjoy is playing on the playground. They are always a bundle of energy when they come to church.
It has been a joy helping and teaching in this Sunday School class. Watching these little ones grow physically and especially learning about Jesus and growing in the Lord, has been a blessing to all three of us teachers. Please keep our children in your prayers as they learn about Jesus and draw closer to him.
